Sunday Seven: Printed textiles, artisan-crafted brass hooks, & rainforest views
The first of many round-ups of what’s inspiring me right now.
Hi friends, welcome to my first-ever Substack newsletter and Sunday Seven: a round-up of recent discoveries, purchases I'm pining for, things that are inspiring me, and places to know about. If you follow @lfjewels on Instagram, then you likely know that Sunday Seven started there as a quick way for me to share what I've been up to and the things inspiring me right now. So, want a look at what I'm loving? Let’s go!
I’m very into the collaboration between Coco Shop, the heritage brand that excels at vacation dressing, and the homewares brand Elliston House. I'm wanting this fabric by the yard so I can have some outdoor chaises to match this utterly chic warm-weather dress.
These would be perfect covered in the Coco Shop x Elliston House fabric.
It's not quite spring yet in NYC! I could find lots of occasions to wear this hand-woven zebra coat from Alix of Bohemia. My friends know I love animal prints, almost as much as I love things that are handmade, and this embroidered coat is both.
I'd wear it with the New Moon Collar from the first drop of our Spring collection. I love a chunky statement necklace, and this one is an absolute favorite, with white and brown bone beads and a stunning wood focal inlaid with sky blue topaz. These earrings are also great.
Random but great: I just ordered three (way more economical than buying one) of these artisan-crafted brass hooks from Brassna, and the finish is perfect. They're unlacquered, so they'll patina well, and the shape is just right. Small apartment and in need of hooks? You're welcome!
I just returned from a quick trip to Saint Lucia (JetBlue flies direct from NYC!), and this was the view from my chaise at Rabot Hotel. Take me back, but also stay tuned for my packing guide.
And finally, I wish I had these woven Naghedi sandals on my trip! Ever since I met the line's founder, Sara (while shopping at Pleats Please in SoHo), I've been a fan of the brand's classic bag and shoe styles. The company has an incredible trade-in program as well as a waste-not initiative that crafts bags from discarded and excess materials. These babies are definitely on my summer wishlist.
Okay, that was fun! Next up: My Saint Lucia Packing List.
xx,
Lizzie
Love this so much!
